Around 6:30pm on Friday 11 August, officers were called to reports of a collision on Albion Way in Salford.
A blue motorcycle travelling north along Albion Way left the carriageway and resulted in the 25-year-old motorcyclist sustaining serious injuries that tragically proved fatal.
During the collision the vehicle also collided with a 25-year-old female pedestrian causing her serious injuries although thankfully these are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision occur, or the motorcycle travelling prior, and those who may have footage of the incident – including CCTV, mobile or dashcam.
