Officers are appealing for information following a collision that occurred at the junction of Cheetham Hill Road and Queens Road in Manchester at 8:30am yesterday (Wednesday 23 August 2023).
A cyclist - a 37-year-old man - collided with a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and sustained serious head injuries which are believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
No arrests have been made at this time and the driver of the HGV is assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers are now appealing for information and anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant footage - such as CCTV or dash cam - should contact the serious collision investigation unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 698 23/08/23.
