Officers are investigating after a man was seriously injured in an incident in Manchester city centre.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, 3 September 2023, officers received reports that a man had been attacked inside the AO Arena on Hunt’s Bank, Manchester, shortly after a boxing event that night.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he currently remains. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses from around the time of the incident – approximately between midnight and 00.10am – to please come forward.
Additionally, anyone with any mobile phone footage they consider relevant is asked to share this with officers.
