At around 8pm on Saturday 29 July, Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a large fight on Grove Lane, Cheadle Hulme.
Thankfully no injuries were reported, and the fight was swiftly dispersed.
At the time of the incident, two men aged 28 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries and an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
Inspector Martin Baker from GMP’s Stockport division said: “I understand the local community are quite rightly concerned to see this behaviour, but I’d like to reassure you that we are following a number of lines of enquiry and working closely with the local authority and the premises to avoid future occurrences.
“Behaviour of this nature is not welcome in our community, and we are committed to working with our partners to tackle anti-social behaviour and violent disorder.
“This investigation is very much ongoing, and I’d like to encourage anyone who has information to come forward. We’re particularly keen to speak to people who may have attended the event and witnessed the disorder. No matter how small the information may seem, it could prove vital to our investigation.
“If you have any information on the individuals shown in the footage, or any CCTV, mobile, or dashcam footage of the incident, I ask that you please share this with the detectives leading the investigation. ”
