Police are appealing for information following an assault of a man in Wigan

GMP are investigating an incident that took place in the early hours of Sunday 18 June 2023 at around 3.30am on Wallgate in Wigan.
It is believed that a man in his 20s had been assaulted by an unknown man.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Officers investigating this incident have followed up on a number of lines of enquiry and are now in a position to ask for the public's assistance.
GMP would like to speak to the man pictured below as they believe he could assist with enquires.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time or who may have witnessed the incident.
