Detectives conducting an attempted murder investigation in Manchester have charged one man and arrested a second.
At around 3pm on Thursday 21 December 2023, a firearm was discharged on Stockport Road, Ardwick.
Anthony Leigh (22/08/2000), Plymouth Grove, Manchester, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of a bladed article.
Officers carried out two warrants today (23/12/23) at addresses in Ardwick and Middleton, and a man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning.
Investigations are still ongoing and officers have appealed for information from anyone in the area at the time - photos, CCTV or dashcam footage can be uploaded to the Major Incident Public Portal at https://mipp.police.uk/operation/06GMP23A72-PO1.
