Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following reports of a kidnapping on Clarendon Crescent, Sale at around 6.10pm on Wednesday 6 December 2023.
It is believed that four men attacked a man before bundling him into the back seat of a Silver BMW 3 Series before making off Clarendon Road.
There have been no arrests made at this stage.
Detective Inspector Paul Costello from Trafford CID said: “We have been working hard to identify the suspects in this incident that came into us on Wednesday evening.
“This is understandably a cause for concern for the local residents in the Sale area but we want to ensure the community and Greater Manchester as a whole that this is an isolated incident.
“Thankfully, we have managed to locate the victim in this case, and we have worked closely with him.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident and anyone with information to make contact with us – this includes if you have relevant footage such as CCTV, mobile or dashcam.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting log number 2733 of 06/12/23.”
Alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
