Greater Manchester Police are continuing enquiries into a suspected assault at Clarendon Park, Salford on Tuesday 14 February 2023 at around 11am.
Officers were initially alerted by colleagues at North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to the concerns for the welfare of a man in his 40’s.
He was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining head injuries and remains in a stable condition.
Currently an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of how the male received his injuries.
GMP’s Salford CID would now like to hear from potential witnesses who may have seen what happened, or who have dashcam or doorbell footage from residents in and around the area to further understand what happened.
Detective Inspector Mike Sharples of GMP’s Salford district said: “Our officers in Salford are working tirelessly to understand the series of events after a man in his 40’s was potentially assaulted in Clarendon Park.
“The victim is being supported by our officers and enquiries are still ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“I would urge members of the public who live around this area who saw something or saw anything suspicious around 11am on this day to please contact GMP directly and report this to us.
“Any information you may have no matter how small it may seem may bring us one step closer to establishing exactly what happened.”
If anyone has any information, or witnessed the incident, they are asked to call 101 or through the LiveChat function on www.gmp.police.uk quoting log number 1218 of 14/02/23.
Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
