On Sunday 5 February 2023 at around 5:20am, emergency services were called to a concern for welfare of a man on Plymouth Grove in Manchester.
Officers attended the property on Plymouth Grove, but despite the best efforts of emergency services a 56-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene.
Tarik Hussein (03/05/1995) of Plymouth Grove, Manchester has since been charged with murder.
Inspector Louise Edwards for GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim who was attacked on Sunday, and they are continuing to receive specialist support at this difficult time.
"We are still continuing to appeal to the public for any further information that may have regarding this incident, any dash cam footage, doorbell footage, CCTV, or any descriptions you can provide about this event or the events leading up to this event.
"You will continue to notice an increased police visibility in the area in the coming days. If you have any concerns, please speak to one of our uniformed officers who will be patrolling the nearby areas.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 8567494 quoting log 672 of the 5 February 2023.
