At around 9pm on Saturday 14 January 2023, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Beal Lane in Shaw, Oldham.
Officers attended the scene and a 80-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made.
Enquiries suggest that the vehicle (white Hyundai) was travelling westbound along Beal Lane approaching the junction with Duke Street when the pedestrian fell into the passing car.
GMP’s serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) are appealing to the public for any further information in regard to this incident.
