Stockport’s Neighbourhood Crime Team are appealing for any information in relation to a commercial burglary which occurred at a courier warehouse on Lingard Lane in Brinnington on Friday 6 January 2023.
At around 7:30pm at the start of this weekend, a commercial burglary occurred at a premises on Lingard Lane where several hundred parcels were taken. These were taken in several transportation cages and a pallet which were wheeled through Brinnington. The majority of these parcels were from the delivery company Evri.
It is believed the items were moved between 8-9:15pm.
CCTV footage sourced identifies and shows several vehicles passing the offenders whilst the items were being transported on foot, with officers seeking witnesses who may have vital information to help the investigation.
Greater Manchester Police are encouraging anyone in the area between these times on Friday to check their dash cams and any residents with CCTV or video doorbells to check for footage. Particularly those driving or living around Lingard Lane, Middlesex Road, The link and Lapwing Lane areas.
After excellent work from the district already and from vital information obtained from the public seven individuals, aged between under 18 and up to 55 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods.
An estimated £20,000 worth of parcels have already been recovered and are in the process of being delivered back to Evri. If you were expecting a parcel which has not been delivered, please contact the courier service directly about this.
