Officers respond to reports of a firearms incident in Salford

At around 00:50am on New Year’s Day (Sunday 1 January 2023), officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Ryecroft Avenue.

After an initial investigation it has transpired to be a firearms discharge through the front ground floor window of a property.

No injuries were reported at the time and after initial enquiries no arrests have been made.

Detectives are now in a position to appeal for witnesses and gain any further information that may help with their investigation, including doorbell footage.
