At around 12:00am on Saturday 21 January 2023, officers were called to reports of a robbery that occurred on Pendlebury Close in Prestwich.
It has been reported that a group of males were in a parked vehicle on Pendlebury Close when they were approached by another group of males.
The occupants of the vehicle were assaulted and a robbery took place.
Officers attending the scene recovered cannisters of nitrous oxide nearby.
Three men – two aged 18 and one aged 17 – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
Witnesses reported the incident to Greater Manchester Police and believe weapons - a cricket bat and a bladed article - were involved.
Sergeant Christian Allanson of GMP Bury South Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This was a violent robbery that will understandably cause concern in our local community.
"Fortunately no one was seriously injured and I am pleased that quick work by Bury Response officers saw three males apprehended and arrested.
“The three remain in police custody at this time for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace offenders who fled the scene but I would like to reassure the local community that we have deployed extra uniformed patrols to the area to conduct enquires as well as to offer support and reassurance.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident and we believe there to be no wider risk to the public but if you have any concerns, please speak to one of our officers.”
