Officers are appealing for witnesses following an incident at an event at Barton Aerodrome last night (Saturday 15 July 2023).
At around 8pm, a fight broke out near one of the event’s stages following reports of an attempted robbery by a group of men. Five people received injuries, not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The men are believed to have left shortly after via the main entry route to the event, heading onto Liverpool Road and turning left.
Police are now seeking witnesses to the incident as they progress their investigation.
Detective Inspector Kellie Lawson, of GMP’s Salford district, said: “We are currently pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and are building a comprehensive timeline of events. This was a shocking incident at an event in which were people were there to enjoy themselves – and we are doing what we can to find those responsible.
