GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking for people who may have witnessed the incident, which occurred around 9am this morning (Tuesday 18 July 2023) to come forwards.
One of the pedestrians is thought to have sustained potentially life-changing injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital. The other pedestrian also sustained serious injuries, which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.
A female has been arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and remains in custody for questioning.
PC Riley-Owens of the SCIU said: "This was a devastating incident that has left two people with serious injuries.
"We are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the accident, or who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the scene in the moments before, or at the time, of the incident to get in touch with us, so we are able to determine what happened leading up to the accident
