At around 4.40pm on Monday 10 July 2023, officers were called to reports that a vehicle had collided with a cyclist on Lancaster Road, Salford.
It is believed that an Audi A3 pulled out from standing traffic and collided with the cyclist, who was overtaking at the time.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and made off from Lancaster Road turning right into Radcliffe Park.
The cyclist sustained serious injury to his lower back as well as injuries to his neck and shoulders.
Further information has come to light with CCTV being retrieved which shows the vehicle being parked up and a male walking away from it towards the incident location and then back to the vehicle.
