On Wednesday 12 July 2023 Andrew Harris (07/09/1989) of Wigan and Dylan Halvorsen (08/02/2000) of Liverpool were charged for being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and for possession with intent to supply class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin).
Halverson was also charged with possession of criminal property worth £355. They were both remanded at court ahead of their next appearance on Friday 11 August 2023 at Liverpool Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Patrick Wood, of GMP's Wigan Challenger Organised Crime Group Team, said: “This is another outstanding example of the partnership work we are conducting in Wigan to tackle serious and organised crime.
"Our vision is to make Wigan the most hostile environment for organised criminals and their families to live and operate in and we will continue to work towards this goal.
“It’s resulted in another county lines drugs line being closed down that has impacted the community, not just through the drug issue and links to cuckooing but the ancillary crimes associated to drug supply such as antisocial behaviour, theft, robbery, burglary.
“Regardless of where the line is controlled, we will work with our neighbouring forces and take the pragmatic approach to remove this type of criminality off the streets of Wigan.
“This result highlights the excellent partnership work between GMP Wigan and Merseyside County Lines team Op Toxic.”
