Officers from Greater Manchester Police's County Lines Team supported by local officers form the Rochdale district executed a warrant at an addresses in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday 21 June 2023).
A search of an associated business property on College Road saw approximately 2.5kg of Class A drugs recovered.
A 29-year-old man was led away in handcuffs after being arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class A Drugs.
He was subsequently charged and remanded ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates on Thursday 22 June 2023.
Detective Sergeant Chris Woodburn from GMP’s County Lines team said: “This is a fantastic find for us, a lot of hours and hard work have gone into this operation which has seen up take a substantial amount of drugs off the streets.
“Our intelligence from the local community plays a big part in helping up understand and recognise the signs of drug activity occurring in their neighbourhood and reporting what you deem to be suspicious, and just like today, we will act on it.
