Last week, officers were called to several reports of individuals riding motorbikes in a dangerous manner in the North Reddish area of Stockport.
It is believed the riders of these motorbikes were involved in criminality in the local area.
Collaborative working across the Force saw officers on motorcycles from the Road Policing Unit, Safer Roads Targeting Team and the Air Support Unit attend the location.
The incident concluded with officers using tactical contact with a Quad Bike to bring it to a safe conclusion.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and a number of motoring offences including dangerous driving with officers seizing a motorbike and a Quad Bike in the process.
The two suspects have subsequently been charged with a number of motoring offences and bailed to appear at court on a later date.
Inspector Paul Cox from GMP’s Roads Policing Unit said: “This took a considerable number of resources from multiple departments from across the Force, underling the collaborative work done across the Specialist Operations Branch in Eccles and GMP as a whole.
“We have managed to take two vehicles off the road which were being ridden in a dangerous manner and placing members of the local community at risk.
“We would like to thank the residents in the local Reddish area where this incident took place, their information played a big part in us rounding up the two individuals as quickly as we did.
“The Specialist Operations Branch is committed to making Greater Manchester safer by providing outstanding specialist police services to target crime, with these two arrests and subsequent charges playing a part in that commitment.”
