A man was arrested, and several large bags of suspected cannabis were recovered as officers executed an early morning warrant at a property in Harpurhey today (01/06/23).
Cannabis cultivation not only affects our wider communities, but those vulnerable individuals within society who are exploited into carrying out this labour-intensive and illegal activity on behalf of organised gangs.
A man in his thirties was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, while equipment cultivated with cannabis was also seized.
Inspector Derek Quinn from City of Manchester’s Neighbourhood team said: “Together we can help to keep vulnerable people safe from this exploitative and dangerous activity.
“By conducting this warrant, I hope it shows the local community that we are listening to them when reports of criminality are made.
“We serve the City of Manchester area and are focussed on removing drug dealing and supply of drugs in Harpurhey.
