Officers were called to the junction of Stockfield Road and Peel Street at approximately 6.35pm last night (Wednesday 28 June 2023) to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles.
A passenger of one of the vehicles sustained serious injuries. Colleagues from NWAS took the man to hospital and he is described as being stable following surgery.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody for questioning.
GMP are now appealing for witnesses to the incident and for anyone who may have any dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to come forward to help with the investigation.
