Teenager charged following a violent assault in Manchester City Centre

At around 1:20pm on Tuesday 17 June 2023, officers were called to reports of a fight between two males on London Road in Manchester’s city centre.

The suspect who was arrested sustained a hand injury and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The teenage has subsequently been charged with the following;

• Two counts of Section 4 Public Order
• One count of Affray
• An attempted Section 18 wounding
• Possession of a bladed article

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court tomorrow (29 June 2023).
