A man has been charged after officers were called to reports of a disturbance between a group of men in Salford.
Emergency services attended Kenyon Way, Little Hulton at 5:30pm on Thursday 23 March 2023, following which a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Wesley Isbell (15/7/95), of Little Hulton, Salford, has now been charged with making threats with a bladed article.
He has been further charged with racially aggravated public disorder and threats with a bladed article relating to an incident in September 2022; and also making threats with a bladed article on 18 March 2023.
Isbell has been remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (30 March 2023).
A 17-year-old male has been charged with the unlawful possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply them.
Three men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers are appealing for any new information about the incident.
Detective Superintendent Ryan Davies, of GMP's Salford district, said:
"We have made five arrests so far. However, this is still very much an active investigation and we are determined to identify the people involved in the incident that left a man with serious injuries.
"Initial enquiries suggest it was an isolated, targeted incident with no wider risk to the public.
"We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area before, during or after the incident.
"If you have any information at all – or any CCTV, mobile, dashcam or doorbell footage – please report it directly to GMP."
