Officers from Rochdale Neighbourhood Team have arrested a man in connection with a high value theft that occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning (25 May 2023).
Officers were on patrol when they were called to reports of two males forcing entry to a business near Middleton Way in Middleton.
A large quantity of jewellery worth approximately £200,000 was stolen, although a substantial quantity of this has since been recovered.
A 40-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of burglary and was taken into police custody for questioning.
Inspector Graham Cooke of GMP Rochdale Neighbourhood Team said: "Tackling burglary is a force priority for Greater Manchester Police and I hope the arrest today demonstrates that commitment. I would also urge anyone else who has been a victim of burglary to make a report so we can investigate."
You can make a report by calling 101 or via the LiveChat function on GMP's website: www.gmp.police.uk
Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
