Officers from Bolton's Challenger Organised Crime Team have today (Thursday 18 May) made an arrest following an early morning raid in Reed Close, Farnworth.
A search of a property revealed significant amounts of drugs, with approximately two kilograms of what is believed to be cocaine seized by officers.
Around £10,000 in cash was also recovered by the Challenger team, which is dedicated to cracking down on serious and organised crime across the borough.
The successful execution of the warrant later saw a 58-year-old man arrested at a property in Kearsley, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
The man remains in custody to await questioning by officers.
Detective Sergeant Paul Quinn, from Bolton's Challenger team, said: "This was a fantastic result for our team and is all part of our endeavour to remove dangerous and illegal substances from our streets.
"Our officers are dedicated to fighting crime and whether that's acting on intelligence to execute warrants or proactively patrolling areas, they are working flat out to keep the community safe."
