A man has been arrested by police following numerous reports of theft from motor vehicle and damage to motor vehicle offences that occurred in an around Manchester City Centre car parks last month.
The man, aged 46, was arrested on suspicion of theft from and damage of a motor vehicle and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Sergeant Mark Graham of GMP's City of Manchester Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “I would like to urge members of the public to remain vigilant regarding suspicious activity and report it to the police as soon as possible.
"We would like to reassure the community that thefts from vehicles are a priority for neighbourhood teams not only in the city centre but teams across the force.
"Reports of vehicle crime should be made to us as soon as possible to increase the chances of suspects being traced and items recovered and returned to victims."
