Levi Lowther (02/04/1997) of no fixed abode has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, driving otherwise than in accordance with a license and driving without insurance.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 2 May 2023).
These charges relate to an alleged serious road traffic collision involving one car on Didsbury Road/Mauldeth Road at around 11:15pm on Friday 30 December 2022.
PC Thomas Jonson from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This arrest and subsequent charge comes off the back of an appeal that went out to the public last Friday (28 April).
“We have been investigating this incident for just over five months now and, as a team, we have managed to charge someone in relation to this.
“Here at GMP we are committed in our promise to make the roads of Greater Manchester a safer place, and we will continue our hard work to do that with every passing day.”
