A man who attacked his vulnerable victim with hair clippers and stole his mobile phone has been jailed.
Mark Spencer (21/01/76), of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to robbery and section 47 assault at Manchester Crown Court on 20 March 2023.
He was sentenced to 62 months in prison when he appeared at Manchester Crown Court on 15 May 2023.
In February 2023, Spencer was in the male victim’s flat in Hulme, Manchester, and attacked him with the clippers, pinning him down and injuring his head, before stealing a mobile phone.
Detective Inspector Natalie McDonald, of GMP’s City of Manchester Central CID, said: “Spencer is a bully who preys on the most vulnerable within communities using fear, intimidation and violence to commit his offences and I’m sure his sentence will be welcomed by many.”
