A man was arrested and suspected class-B drugs were recovered as officers executed an early morning warrant at a property in Dukinfield today (31/05/23).
Officers from the local neighbourhood team, supported by colleagues in the DTT district tasking team and tactical dog unit, made the early morning wake-up call due to ongoing intelligence reports received from the community.
Neighbourhood officers take a zero-tolerance approach to those who cause disrupton and problems for the law-abiding public, and the warrant is part of Greater Manchester Police’s commitment to clamping down on drug-related criminality in Dukinfield and the wider area.
The 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, while a quantity of suspected class-B drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash were seized from the property.
PC Taylor, from Tameside’s Neighbourhood team, said: “We will always take action where we think it’s needed and we will always listen to those in the community who may have concerns about certain things going on in the area.
“I hope this warrant shows that we do take reports seriously and we will take a robust approach to reports of criminality in the community.
“We serve the Tameside area and I would urge anyone who has any problems to please get in touch with us. We are keen to tackle anything that may be a problem for you: anti-social behaviour, drug-dealing, vehicle crime, graffiti; if it’s a problem for you, it’s a problem for us, and we will do our best for you and the community.
