At around 12.30am on Wednesday, May 10 2023, officers responded to an incident in Louise Street, Rochdale.
It is believed four or five men armed with weapons suspected to be large knives entered a property via patio windows and demanded valuable items from the occupants.
One of the occupants suffered a minor injury to their arm.
Following a number of lines of enquiry, officers are now appealing for information from members of the public who may have been in the area at the time.
Detective Inspector Sam Taylor of GMP’s Rochdale division said: “This was a shocking incident and officers are working hard to bring those responsible for justice.
“We have zero tolerance for these sorts of acts and want to reassure the community that their safety is our number-one priority. We have extra patrols in the area and would urge anyone with any questions to chat with the officers, who will be more than happy to talk.”
Officers are now keen to hear from anyone with any information – or doorbell, dashcam, or CCTV footage of the incident.
