Yesterday morning (Monday 20 November), officers from Manchester North Challenger Team acted on intelligence from the community and forced entry into a property in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester.
Following a search of the property, officers uncovered a substantial amount of class B drugs that had been prepacked, half a kilo of class A drugs, around £50,000 in cash and 2 watches.
A man, aged 42, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B Drugs and Money laundering. He remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Heaton of GMP's City of Manchester North division said: "This was a substantial recovery from our team and it highlights our continued dedication to disrupting and dismantling the trade of drugs in our communities.
"The removal of this quantity of cannabis from the supply chain is another step forward in the right direction to help disrupt the activity of organised criminals who seek to profit from the sale of drugs.
“We rely on intelligence provided to us by the public and I would encourage anyone with any concerns or information about the trade of drugs in your area to come forward and speak with police directly or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”
