A man has been charged in connection with a bomb hoax made in Rochdale this week

John Cheetham (11/01/1969) of Well I’ Th’ Lane, Rochdale has been charged with providing information that was false with intent to induce and possession of a Class B controlled drug.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of a first appearance at Tameside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 1 November 2023.

These charges are a result of an investigation by Rochdale district officers where several malicious hoax 999 reports were made to Greater Manchester Police on Tuesday 31 October 2023.
