Officers investigating a robbery in Burnage are appealing to the public for information.
At approximately 6pm on Monday 13 November 2023, officers were called to an incident on Woodside Avenue in Burnage.
The 48-year-old victim is reported to have been threatened by a group of young males with a knife. The males robbed his car and drove over him as he attempted to stop them from fleeing.
The victim sustained potentially life-changing injuries, requiring urgent surgery and he remains in hospital at this time.
Detective Inspector Kelly of South Manchester CID said: "This was a senseless and random attack by a group of males which left a man with horrific and potentially life-changing injuries.
"We are determined to trace those responsible and are following up a number of lines of inquiry. We are looking to identify the route taken by the offenders as they made their escape in the victim’s silver Toyota Corolla, which was later abandoned nearby on Shawbrook Road.”
