Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision occurred on Water Street in Radcliffe last night (Thursday 2 November 2023).
At around 6.35pm, a vehicle collided with a pedestrian, causing life-threatening injuries.
The victim, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Salford Royal Hospital and was pronounced dead later in the evening.
The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old man, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured and having failed a roadside drug test.
He was then taken to Bury Custody to be processed.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward and help their enquiries.
