At around 12:20pm this afternoon (Tuesday 21 November 2023), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a HGV and a motorbike on Tonge Moor Road in Bolton.
Officers attended the scene and despite the best efforts of the emergency services and the public, a 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
