Charges authorised following reports of a man on the roof of a premises in Manchester city centre

Charges have been authorised following reports of a man on the roof of a premises in Deansgate, Manchester yesterday (22/11/23).

Andrew McMaster (11/08/88) of Uppingham, Skelmersdale, has been charged with aggravated trespassing, criminal damage, and the possession of a Class C drug.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates court today (23/11/23).

In addition, George Keeler (08/02/00), of no fixed abode, has been charged with a public order offence, and assault of an emergency worker.

He was released on bail to attend court on 5 January 2024.

A 27-year-old woman arrested as part of the same incident on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker has been released on bail.
