At around 7pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 11 October 2023), local Tameside Neighbourhood officers arrested a man on suspicion of multiple robberies in the area.
PC Green and PC Imran spotted an offender matching the description of a suspect who has committed two robberies from vulnerable victims on Monday 2 October 2023 and Wednesday 4 October respectively.
After a short pursuit on foot a 27-year-old man was detained and remains in police custody.
The Neighbourhood Crime Team at Tameside have also attributed the arrested man to a theft from person that took place on Monday 9 October 2023 at Aldi in Stalybridge.
