A woman has been charged following assaulting police officers and horse

Rema Thompson (23/07/1977) of Southern Street, Manchester has been charged with the following offences.

• Two counts of assaulting an a emergency worker
• Outraging public decency
• Theft through shoplifting
• Criminal damage

She has been remanded in custody ahead of appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Friday 6 October 2023.

These charges follow an investigation into anti-social behaviour by the District Investigation Team from the City of Manchester South district where two mounted Greater Manchester Police officers were assaulted whilst out on patrol on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield on Thursday 5 October 2023.
