Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted by an unknown man while on her way to work.
At approximately 5.45am on Tuesday 3 October 2023, a female got off the bus at the Warwick Street stop on Oldham Road, Manchester in the Northern Quarter.
She started to walk to work in the direction of Hilton Street when a man approached her from the Hilton Street direction, punched her in the face without warning or saying anything and ran away towards Frog and Bucket on Great Ancoats Street, where he crossed over to The Wayfarer pub.
Luckily, the woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
Three other people got off the bus at the same time and came to the woman’s aid, but the offender remains unknown.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who knows who this male may be, or anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist their investigation.
Any businesses on Oldham Road that have any CCTV or Ring doorbell footage of the offender are urged to contact police on 101, quoting log 380 of 3/10/23.
Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers - anonymously – on 0800 555 111.
