Yesterday morning (Monday 30 October 2023), Stockport’s Brinnington Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at a property on Exeter Road in Stockport following concerns from the local community and gathered intelligence.
The warrant was executed by the Neighbourhood Team and specialist units whereby an offensive weapon, Class B drugs (cannabis) and an off-road bike was seized from the property.
No arrests have been made at present.
Stockport Neighbourhood Inspector John Picton said: “We are committed to taking swift and resolute action to any intelligence we receive regarding any forms of criminality. We will persist in executing additional search warrants throughout Stockport, apprehending those involved in the illegal cultivation, sale, and distribution of drugs and substances in our community. Our officers in Stockport are dedicated to fostering community support, instilling public trust and confidence. Response teams, neighbourhood units, and proactive squads will continue to collaborate with partners and the community to combat criminal activities, ensuring that offenders face justice. We also thank the local community for raising concerns about problems and crime in their area. This invaluable input helps us gain a deeper understanding of crime trends in the local area and enables us to target and address criminal activities more effectively.”
