Greater Manchester Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for information following a collision on Stockport Road in Longsight which left a man hospitalised with serious injuries.
At approximately 4:48pm yesterday (Thursday 12 October 2023), a Stagecoach bus travelling along Stockport Road is reported to have collided with a man in his 50s crossing the junction of Richmond Grove East.
The man remains in hospital in critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries.
An 58 year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and he remains in custody for questioning.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with relevant information or footage - including CCTV, dashcam or mobile - to get in touch by calling the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 2527 of 12/10/2023.
