Officers who executed a warrant in Bolton yesterday turned up a number of illicit products as they reaffirmed their commitment to taking drugs off the streets.
Neighbourhood officers in Deane entered a business in Kirkebrok Road, Bolton, in response to reports of drugs being distributed from within the premises.
Inside, a quantity of steroids were found, in addition to a number of Rolex watches which are believed to be fake, and other medication suspected of being illicit. The items were subsequently seized and a man received summons to be interviewed at a later date.
The work comes ahead of Safer Business Action Week, which begins on Monday 16 October. Throughout next week, officers will be undertaking a range of proactive activities across every borough as they continue their commitment to tackling business-related crime – to protect both workers and customers.
Officers in Bolton will be out to ensure that the key themes of prevention, enforcement, and engagement are represented, with patrols, community work, and awareness campaigns.
Sergeant David Kelly, from GMP’s Bolton Neighbourhood Team, said: “We have a zero-tolerance approach to drugs and if we receive intelligence about them, we will act. We want to keep our communities safe and ensure that harmful products are not in circulation.
“I would urge anyone with any information about drugs to please get in touch with us. You can report information by calling us on 101, via our website at gmp.police.uk, or by contacting Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
