Police in Stockport are appealing for information following a series of fires in the Cale Green area.
Officers were called to four fires in wheelie bins and on fences on Adswood Road and Shaw Road South in the early hours of 5 October 2023.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Arthern, of Stockport CID said: "We believe the fires were deliberate and are treating them as arson, so are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with any information.
"These were a series of stupid and reckless acts that could have resulted in serious injury. Fortunately, thanks to the quick work of GMFRS, the fires didn't spread.
"We would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, between around midnight and 1am, or who has any dashcam footage, to also contact us.
"There will be an increased number of officers in the area as we carry out enquiries."
Anyone with information about this incident should contact police quoting log 102-5/10/2023.
Information can also be reported online or by using the LiveChat function at www.gmp.police.uk. If you can't report online, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Always call 999 in an emergency.
