A man has been arrested as part of the investigation into the death of Badri Issa who was found with serious and life-threatening injuries on Moss Lane East on Wednesday 25 October 2023.
Officers and other emergency services attended and Badri, aged 22, was found by emergency services with life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he sadly died later that evening.
Yesterday (Monday 30 October 2023), a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody where he will be questioned by Major Incident Team detectives.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Our investigation continues to progress well - we have made a total of three arrests and have secured one charge.
“That being said, our investigation is far from over and, as officers continue to carry out extensive enquiries to find answers for Badri’s family, we are still appealing to members of the public with relevant information to share it with police.
"To submit information, CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage please submit it through the Major Incident Public Portal here: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk).
"You can also report information to GMP by calling 101 or via the GMP website using our reporting tool: www.gmp.police.uk quoting log 3210 of 25/10/2023.
"Alternatively, you can report information anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
