Officers from GMP's Road Policing Unit arrested a man in Middleton on Sunday (15/10/23) after a car was stolen at around 10:15am from Waterloo Gardens in Tameside.
Officers spotted the car and followed it for around 10 minutes into Manchester city centre before it was stopped on Manchester New Road. The pursuit was aided by the NPAS.
A 31-year-old man remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and aggravated vehicle taking.
He is also wanted by another force for breaching a restraining order.
