Officers in Bury are appealing for witnesses following reports of a kidnapping on Tuesday 3 October 2023.
At approximately 1.11pm, a white Volkswagen Golf pulled up outside a premises on the junction of Cornall Street and Tottington Road.
Two men got out of the car, pushed a third man into the vehicle and drove off with the rear passenger door still open.
The vehicle made off towards the direction of Tottington.
Police have already five people on suspicion of kidnap in relation to this incident.
Detective Inspector Chris Mannion, of GMP’s Bury Division, said: “Since this report came into us we have taken positive steps to locate the offenders and the victim, making five arrests already.
“While this is a terrifying ordeal, we would like to reassure the community that this is very much an isolated incident and we are dedicated to keeping residents safe. We have put extra officers on the streets and they will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or was around the area at the time to come forward and assist with enquiries, as their information could greatly assist our investigation.
“If there is anyone in the area with doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage, I would also please ask them to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting log number 1637 of 3/10/23.
Alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
