GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for further information after a road traffic collision in Bolton

Officers were called to approximately 12:00pm on Thursday 31 August 2023, to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Eldon Street in Bolton.

Emergency services attended the scene, and a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It is understood that a vehicle travelling south on Eldon Street approached the junction of Warby Street, meanwhile a motorcyclist emerged from Connaught Square and collided with the vehicle which resultantly unseated the motorcyclist.

Both vehicles and persons remained at the scene while further enquires were conducted.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
