Officers from Bury’s Policing Team are offering reassurance in Bury Town Centre, following an altercation that resulted in a man being taken to hospital.
GMP responded to a call about a fight taking place in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 10 September 2023) outside The Blind Tiger bar on Bolton Street, Bury.
An investigation is underway to determine those responsible and the scene has now been lifted.
Chief Inspector Sam Jackson of the Bury district said, “I understand an incident of this nature may spark concern for those who regularly enjoy Bury Town Centre’s bars and pubs.
“I want to provide reassurance that we believe this incident to be isolated, and we have stepped up our patrols of the area.
“Our local teams already have dedicated patrol plans in place for the centre to deter and provide quick responses to any incidents that may arise. Anyone with concerns should also speak to officers, who are happy to provide support.
“Anyone with information on this incident should contact police on 101 quoting log 750 of 10/09/23.”
