On Saturday 2 September 2023, a 39-year-old wanted male was located and arrested on suspicion of multiple offences of fraud by false representation after he was found by police officers hiding in a shed in Shaw.
The man was taken into police custody for further questioning.
On Sunday 3 September 2023, Daniel Mather (16/08/1984) of Longfellow Crescent in Oldham was charged with two counts of fraud by false representation and remanded into custody.
On Tuesday 5 September 2023, Mather was charged with a further seven counts of fraud by false representation.
He is next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Monday 9 October 2023.
