GMP are investigating an incident that occurred yesterday and asking members of the public to assist with lines of enquiries. A man and child were walking along Gatley Road in Gatley around 6:30pm yesterday (24/09/2023) when a person inside a car driving past shot at them with orange pellets from a BB gun.
The child was struck in the chest and the man was hit in the head. No serious injuries were sustained as a result.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Matt Delaney said: “Incidents of this nature cause concerns in our communities and will not be tolerated. We are committed to identifying who is responsible for this crime and holding them accountable.
“Officers are reviewing ANPR cameras and CCTV footage from the area. We suspect a Back Volkswagen Golf may be involved in this incident and officers are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage to please come forward and support our investigation.
